You count on Noble REMC to deliver the power you need — when and where you need it — at a price you can afford. That’s a responsibility we take personally.
Earlier this year, you may have seen headlines about the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission reviewing rising energy prices. That review focused on for-profit, investor-owned utilities, so Noble REMC was not part of the investigation.
Even so, we are still accountable.
Regulatory oversight plays an important role in the energy industry, but our cooperative model includes its own built-in accountability. As a not-for-profit governed by a democratically elected board of directors, we answer directly to the people we serve. The Noble REMC Board approves our rates, and as fellow co-op members, they understand the impact of those decisions firsthand.
That’s why Noble REMC regularly reviews whether our rates reflect the true cost of delivering reliable, affordable power. And as a result, we have gone a decade without a rate increase and remain one of the most affordable electric utilities in the state.
We will remain committed to this mission as the electric industry evolves and demand for electricity continues to grow. Our accountability and responsibility to you, our members, are what set us apart and reinforce the foundation of our cooperative.
As always, if you have questions about your bill, need to arrange a payment plan, or would like an energy audit for your home, please call our office at 800-933-7362.
PCA decrease reflected on bill
Our power supplier, Wabash Valley Power Alliance (WVPA), and Noble REMC recently decreased our Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) to $0.0075 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) to reflect current cost drivers.
The change will be seen on your July bill, having gone into effect in June (after publication of June’s Indiana Connection).
Delivering reliable power at the lowest possible cost continues to be the mission of both Noble REMC and WVPA. We are working hard behind the scenes to manage expenses to continue to deliver on this mission, with Noble REMC remaining one of the lowest-cost energy providers in our area.
