UPDATE: We are still making preparations for the 2021 Annual Meeting, and will update our members when a decision has been made as to what the event will look like.
Noble REMC hosts an annual membership meeting on the first Saturday in June. All current members and their immediate family are invited to attend the family-style picnic and member appreciation event at the REMC’s headquarters on Weber Road in Albion.
Members enjoy lunch featuring the popular Noble County Pork Producers grilled pork burgers, served with chips, ice cream and drinks. They also enjoy entertainment and activities designed for the entire family. REMC employees and community organizations are available to share information about their programs and projects. Attendees learn about issues their cooperative is facing and get information about energy savings, electrical safety and more.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and ends at noon when a brief business meeting is held. Festivities wrap up around 1 p.m. when the results of director elections are announced.
Upon arrival at the annual meeting, members register and vote for individuals to represent them on the REMC’s board of directors. Directors set policy, provide governance and guide the direction of the cooperative.
2020 Annual Meeting Changes Due to COVID-19
The Annual Meeting & Picnic is our favorite event of the year, but the safety of Noble REMC’s members comes first. That’s why we had to make the tough decision to transition our Annual Meeting to an online format in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
You can still view the 2020 virtual annual meeting on our Facebook page.
You don’t need a Facebook account to watch. Simply visit our page, and if a prompt alerts you to sign in or create an account, click “Not Now” or continue to scroll. Then you should be able to view the business meeting.
Since we went virtual, we wanted to make sure you have the documents you would normally receive at the in-person meeting. Please see the following:
